FLU SHOTS FO MIAMI BEACH SENIOR CITIZENS

This memorandum will serve to inform you of an upcoming event coordinated by the
Neighborhood Services Department to benefit Miami Beach's senior citizens.
On Monday, January 10th, 2005, the Miami-Dade County Health Department will be
administering flu shots from 10 am to 4 pm in the Commission Chambers. They expect to
have 1,000 shots available. Any person 65 or older is eligible to receive the shots free of
charge. Under 65 years of age and those who are at high risk must pay $20 for their shots.
All recipients must have proper identification such as, Medicare and State of Florida
Identification Card, in order to receive the shots.
The department is coordinating the outreach effort to the community through the media,
senior housing and service providers as well the Miami Dade County Health Department.
