25-84 RDA RESOLUTION NO. 25-84 A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI BEACH REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FEES AND RENTALS DUE TO THE STATE OF FLORIDA BY VIRTUE OF A SOVEREIGNTY SUBMERGED LAND LEASE. WHEREAS, the Ci ty of Miami Beach, a Flor ida municipal corporation, and the Board of Trustees of the Internal Improvement Trust Fund of the State of Florida propose to enter into a Sovereignty Submerged Land Lease for certain lands situated on the Biscayne Bay bottom adjacent to the Miami Beach Marina, which is located within the Community Redevelopment Area; and WHEREAS, the Miami Beach Redevelopment Agency is receiving certain revenues which are derived from the lease agreement of June 24, 1983, which leased the Miami Beach Marina to Carner-Mason Associates, Inc. and further pursuant to that certain Administration Agreement of September 9, 1983 by which the Miami Beach Redevelopment Agency is providing management for this marina; and WHEREAS, the Miami Beach Redevelopment Agency determines it to be feasible for the carrying out of community redevelopment plans, projects and related activities, that it recognize the Sovereignty Submerged Lands Lease by and between the City of Miami Beach and the State of Florida; and WHEREAS, the benefits and enhancement realized in the Community Redevelopment Area merit the appropriation of Miami Beach Redevelopment Agency revenues realized by virtue of the foregoing Miami Beach Marina Lease Agreement of June 24, 1983 and Administration Agreement of September 9, 1983 towards the payment of lease fees and costs to the State of Florida due to the lease of the Sovereignty Submerged Lands adjacent to the Miami Beach Marina, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE MIAMI BEACH REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY: 1. That the Miami Beach Redevelopment Agency recognizes the Sovereignty Submerged Land Lease for the land adjacent to the Miami Beach Marina as a meritorious agreement benefiting the Community Redevelopment Area; and 2. That the Miami Beach Redevelopment Agency revenues der i ved from the Miami Beach Mar ina lease of June 24, 1983 and Administration Agreement of September 9, 1983 be appropriated and allocated to pay the Board of Trustees of the Internal Improvement Trust Fund of the State of Florida for this Sovereignty Submerged Land Lease.
