"Free Funday" Fills North Shore Park
Fresh on the heels of a successful inaugural "Movie In The Park" February 25,2005, which
drew nearly 700, more than 500 came back Saturday March 5, 2005, for the continuation
of the popular "Free Family Funday" series.
Adults and kids took advantage of everything North Shore Park and Youth Center has to
offer. They played baseball, basketball, tennis, field games, made and flew kites, danced
and enjoyed food and refreshments from the snack bar.
The next Free Family Funday is scheduled for Sunday, April 3, 2005, at the Flamingo Park
Pool. The Free Family Funday series started in 2004, as a way to introduce our residents
to the wealth of facilities and services provided by the City of Miami Beach Parks &
Recreation Department. Normal admission and program fees are waived as we alternate
venues among North Shore Park, Scott Rakow Youth Center and Flamingo Park Pool &
Tennis Center on a monthly basis.
You are cordially invited to visit our facilities and experience firsthand the recreational
programs that offer something for every member of the family.
Be on the look out for these other, exciting Parks & Recreation Department programs:
· St. Patti's Scavenger Hunt, March 17, 2005, North Shore Park & Youth Center
· Duathlon, March 20, 2005, Flamingo Park
· Spring Eggstravaganza, March 26, 2005 North Shore Open Space Park
