Panthers Assistant Coach Guy Charron Visits the Scott Rakow Youth
Center

On Thursday March 31,2005 Guy Charron, Assistant Coach of the Florida Panthers will
be coming to the Scott Rakow Youth Center to conduct a free clinic for all the players
enrolled in the Scott Rakow Youth Center Hockey Program. Guy Charron will be on the ice
from 5:00 - 7:00 pm.
Guy Charron enters his 12th season as an Assistant Coach and first year as the Florida
Panthers Assistant Coach. He has spent the last two seasons as an Assistant on the
Montreal Canadiens coaching staff. Prior to joining the Canadiens, he worked as an
Assistant Coach with the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim for two seasons (2000-02), assuming
the Head Coaching duties for 49 games during his first season with the Mighty Ducks.
Charron served as Assistant Coach with the Canadian National team (1985-90) and was a
part of Canada's coaching staff at the 1988 Winter Olympics. He also was Head Coach of
the Canadian Junior Team that won the gold medal at the 1990 World Junior
Championships in Helsinki, Finland.
