EVALUATION COMMITTEE FOR ISSUANCE OF A REQUEST FOR
QUALIFICATIONS (RFQ) FOR PROGRAMMING, DESIGN, CONSTRUCTION
DOCUMENTS, PERMITTING, BID AND AWARD, AND CONSTRUCTION
MANAGMENT SERVICES FOR BICYCLE/PEDESTRIAN/GREENWAY
PROJECTS TO BE KNOWN AS THE ATLANTIC GREENWAY NETWORK
(AGN).
The City of Miami Beach is planning to develop a series of bicycle/pedestrian/greenway projects to
be known as the Atlantic Greenway Network (AGN). The Atlantic Greenway Network is made up of
two main trail systems; the Beach Corridors, which extend in a general northbound/southbound
direction, running between the erosion control line and the dune system; and the Neighborhood
Trails, which extend in a general east-west as well as north-south directions through the south,
middle, and north beach neighborhoods. Individual projects will be constructed as part of the AGN
Master Plan to create a continuous trail network allowing for alternative transportation and
community enhancement.
The City has issued a RFO for the programming, design, construction documents, permitting, bid
and award, and construction management services for three segments of the Atlantic Greenway
Network: Dade Boulevard Bike Path; Middle Beach Neighborhood Interconnector Trails; and the
North Beach Interconnector Trails.
I am considering appointing the following individuals to serve on the Evaluation Committee for the
above subject RFO:
· Jack Ruiz, Miami Beach Bicycle Center
· Frederick C. Sake, Attorney, Resident of Miami Beach
· Fernando Vazquez, City Engineer, City of Miami Beach
· Jordanna Rubin, Environmental Resources Manager, City of Miami Beach
· Tom Mooney, Planning Department, Cityof Miami Beach
