RECOMMENDATION
The Administration recommends that the City Commission appoint two (2) individuals to the Dade
County Biscayne Bay Shoreline Review Committee. These appointments are required to fill the
vacant seats on the Board from the City of Miami Beach.
BACKGROUND
The Dade County Biscayne Bay Shoreline Review Committee, established under Chapter 33.D, of
the Code of Metropolitan Dade County, reviews projects that are within the Biscayne Bay Aquatic

appoint two (2) voting members who are to serve on the Shoreline Review Committee when a
project lies within the boundaries of said municipality.
On January 17, 1990, the City Commission initially appointed two (2) individuals as the City of
Miami Beach appointments to the Dade County Biscayne Bay Shoreline Review Committee, to
serve on the Shoreline Review Committee when a project lies within the boundaries of said
municipality. Since that time, both of these individuals have ceased to represent the City of Miami
Beach on the Committee and currently there are no representatives from the City of Miami Beach
on the Shoreline Review Board, to serve on the Shoreline Review Committee when a project lies
within this City's municipal boundaries.

a specified term or limited to a single development action or plan. The appointments are limited to
recognized professionals in one or more of the following fields:
1. Landscape Architecture;
