A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA, PROVIDING AUTHORITY FOR
SIGNING VOUCHERS ON FUNDS IN THE ACCOUNT
ENTITLED "THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH -
HURRICANE CONTINGENCY FUND ACCOUNT"
AND RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 97-22331
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach has established a Hurricane Contingency Fund
Account at First Union National Bank of Florida; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Commission wish to designate new signatories, due to
the changes in City Administration, who may execute vouchers in order to draw upon funds for
the benefit of the City which requires that Resolution No. 97-22331 be rescinded.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Commission of the
City of Miami Beach, Florida:

That any one of the following specified individuals may execute an official, duly
prepared voucher upon funds in the account designated as the "City of Miami
Beach - Hurricane Contingency Fund Account" on deposit at the First Union
National Bank of Florida.
a. Sergio Rodriguez, City Manager; or
b. Mayra Diaz-Buttacavoli, Assistant City Manager; or
c. Richard Barreto, Police Chief; or
d. Luis Garcia, Fire Chief; or
e. Patricia D. Walker, Finance Director.
That the above individuals shall execute a signature page concerning the account,
in the format as attached hereto as Exhibit "A".
That should the Mayor and City Commission wish to amend this Resolution by
providing for one or more different individuals than those named above to act in
the capacity of signatory, a Resolution to that effect with an appropriate signature
page shall be filed with First Union National Bank of Florida.
That Resolution No. 97-22331, adopted on the 19th day of March 1997, be and the
same is hereby rescinded and that all other resolutions or parts of resolutions in
conflict therewith be and the same are hereby repealed.

SUBJECT: A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, PROVIDING AUTHORITY FOR
SIGNING VOUCHERS ON FUNDS IN THE ACCOUNT ENTITLED "CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH - HURRICANE CONTINGENCY FUND ACCOUNT"
AND RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 97-22331
ADMINISTRATION RECOMMENDATION:
The Administration recommends that the City Commission approve the authorization for the signing
of vouchers drawn on funds in the City of Miami Beach account titled "City of Miami Beach _
Hurricane Contingency Fund Account".
BACKGROUND:
The attached resolution is being updated, as required, due to change in authorized signers. Due to
changes in City Administration, updated signatures are required.
ANAL YSIS:
Current authorized signatures are required in the event of a hurricane emergency.
CONCLUSION:
A new resolution containing appropriate authorized signatures should be adopted at this time to
provide signature continuity on this account.
