SUBJECT: APPOINTMENT OF ANDREW TERPAK TO THE FORD POLICE ADVISORY
BOARD
This letter to the City Commission is to announce the selection of Andrew Terpak, Director of
Fleet Management, for a position on the Police Advisory Board (PAB) for Ford Motor
Company.
The mission of the Police Advisory Board is to help Ford Motor Company refine current
products and develop future products that meet the unique needs of law enforcement
agencies. These needs focus on safety, reliability, affordability and unique police
operational needs; to provide feedback on proposed programs, policies and communications
to help maximize Ford's ability to meet the daily needs and issues for diverse law
enforcement agencies.
Ford Motor Company provides PAB members with needed information on products,
programs and current issues early and consistently; provides access to people who can
make needed changes or explain reasoning to what is not possible; provides early warning
on issues that affect law enforcement customers and follow up on concerns and issues
raised by PAB members.
The Police Advisory Board members act as a liaison and resource for other law enforcement
agencies; provides honest and direct feedback on products, programs and policies of Ford
Motor Company; supplies data to Ford from their organizations regarding specific needs and
issues as they arise and finally, act as a pilot group for various products, programs and
