341-2000 RDA RESOLUTION NO. 341-2000 A RESOLUTION OF THE CHAIRMAN AND THE MEMBERS OF THE MIAMI BEACH REDEVELOPMENT APPROVING APPOINTMENTS TO THE SOUTH POINTE ADVISORY BOARD WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the Miami Beach Redevelopment Agency, (the Agency) to ensure participation by residents, business owners and community representatives of the South Pointe Redevelopment area as members of the South Pointe Advisory Board, (the Board); and WHEREAS, because of several projects and activities currently underway in the South Pointe area, it would be beneficial to have the continuity, knowledge, and experience of the current Board members; and WHEREAS, on May 7, 1997, the Board was expanded to thirteen (13) members, with the following composition: · Six residents of the South Pointe area striving to represent each type of residential dwelling; · Six owners or lessees of business located in the South Pointe area or representatives of a public or cultural type or facility (e.g. hospital, museum, housing authority, library); · One representative from the Historic Preservation organization with expertise in the field of architecture and the rehabilitation of historic structures; and WHEREAS, each term is to be for two years, with terms set on a staggered basis; and WHEREAS, appointments to the Board would have been made in December 1999, but due to changes in the Administration and ongoing review of the applications, this process was postponed; and WHEREAS, the sixty-day extension ofthe current terms expires this month; and WHEREAS, The following persons are being recommended to fill nine (9) vacant seats: RESIDENTIAL: 1.
