SUBJECT: North Shore Teen Theatre Production- "It Ain't Too Hard To See"
North Shore Park Youth Center and the North Shore Players cordially invite you to attend the
premiere of their original theatre production "It Ain't Too Hard To See" on Thursday, March
30, 2006 at 7:00 pm. This production, written and directed by William Priegues, Recreation
Supervisor I is an ensemble of skits, dances, and hip-hop performances used as an outlet for
teens to express themselves.
The idea for the play came about on a recent canoe trip to Peace River during a late night
discussion around a bonfire. The teens expressed their angers and frustrations with the society
they live in. The question was asked, "What is it that bothers you the most in your daily life?"
There was a myriad of responses, but one thing became clear...they hated being stereotyped
and judged by their appearance.
The play tackles serious issues affecting all teens today such as racism, drug abuse, teen
pregnancy, and homelessness. Although these issues are thought provoking, the subject matter
is presented to the audience in a way that promotes awareness about our urban society.
Come experience and appreciate first hand the struggles that our teens face today.
