Removal and Disposal of Derelict Vessels.

The purpose of this LTC is to update the Mayor and City Commission on Request for Proposals (RFP)
No. 15-05/06, which seeks responses from licensed and high performing contractors with strong
professional qualifications in the removal and disposal of derelict vessels, at the discretion of the City
Commission.
Pursuant to the City Key Intended Outcome to improve the cleanliness of Miami Beach waterways,
the successful contractor must perform the following work tasks under any awarded contract:
. Dive, patch, and re-float with a pollution stand-by crew which will include a salvage master,
divers, patching materials, pumps, compressors and other specialized equipment necessary to
recover the sunken vessels;
. Tow re-f1oated vessels to a county landfill area for disposal;
. Documentation of all work performed.
I am considering appointing the following individuals to serve on the Evaluation Committee on the
above subject RFP:
