City Manager ~.r-f June 9, 2006 0 Evaluation Committee Related to RFP 16-05/06 for Emergency Debris Monitoring Services for the City of Miami Beach To: Date: Subject: The purpose of this LTC is to update the Mayor and City Commission on Request for Proposals (RFP) No. 16-05/06, which seeks responses from firms to provide Emergency Debris Monitoring Services. In order for the City of Miami Beach to receive assistance for disaster debris removal from FEMA the City must implement a debris removal monitoring service. Monitoring of debris removal and disposal activities is a critical component in successful debris operations and in the justification and documentation of any application for FEMA Public Assistance funding. The responsibility of the selected firm(s) will be to deploy trained monitors to observe and document debris removal and disposal activities. I am considering appointing the following individuals to serve on the Evaluation Committee on the above subject RFP: . Fernando Vazquez, City Engineer . James Sutter, Internal Auditor .
