I spoke with Gallagher. There shouldn't be an increase for 2006. I am learning as well! Your staff has contended with a lot of questions from me. Sue C/(ful'IJJ From: Parcher, Robert Sent: Wednesday, May 17, 20068:28 AM To: Radig, Sue Cc: Hernandez, Kerry Subject: RE: Group Long term Disability Insurance Good morning Sue. Sorry that I have to ask so many questions. The reason I am doing so is because the Resolution approves the agreement for two years and if I recall for the same dollar amount. I don't want anyone coming back and asking why the agreement was executed for only one year and the cost has increased. Hope you understand. Thanks Bob -----Original Message----- From: Radig, Sue Sent: Tuesday, May 16, 2006 2:32 PM To: Parcher, Robert Subject: RE: Group Long term Disability Insurance It should. I am working with Gallagher on it right now. Sue C/(ful'IJJ From: Parcher, Robert Sent: Tuesday, May 16, 2006 2:28 PM To: Radig, Sue Cc: Hernandez, Kerry Subject: RE: Group Long term Disability Insurance And for next year, will the rate remain the same? -----Original Message----- From: Radig, Sue Sent: Tuesday, May 16, 2006 2:21 PM To: Parcher, Robert Cc: Hernandez, Kerry Message Page 3 of3 .. Subject: RE: Group Long term Disability Insurance Bob- Sorry I didn't get back to you on this sooner. Ramiro had asked for some information that took longer to get together than anticipated. The Jefferson Pilot agreement you have for is the exact same as was signed for 06/01/2004 through 05/31/2005. The rates are locked in for the renewal. We should be below the estimated annual premium of $75,000 - the premium billing, based on covered employee payroll- is about $5,700 a month. I hope this is helpful, if not, let me know. Sue C/(ful'IJJ From: Parcher, Robert Sent: Tuesday, May 16, 2006 11:24 AM To: Radig, Sue Cc: Hernandez, Kerry Subject: Group Long term Disability Insurance Good morning Sue, While reviewing documents, Kerry informed me that the agreement dealing with the above subject is for one year. Will the second year be at the same cost to the City? I assume there is no monetary advantage to locking in a 2-year period. Secondly, the agreement does not contain a dollar value. Can you confirm that the cost will not exceed an estimated annual premium of $75,000.
