AMENDMENT NO.6
TO THE PROFESSIONAL ARCHITECTURAL
AND ENGINEERING (A I E) SERVICES AGREEMENT
BETWEEN
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA
AND
GLATTING JACKSON KERCHER ANGLIN LOPEZ RINEHART, INC., DATED MAY 16, 2001,
IN AN AMOUNT NOT-TO-EXCEED $11,959,
FOR THE PROVISION OF ADDITIONAL PROFESSIONAL SERVICES,
FOR THE RIGHT-OF-WAY INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENTS PROGRAM
NEIGHBORHOOD NO. 11 - WEST AVENUE.
This Amendment No.6 to the Agreement made and entered this 20th day of March , 2006, by
and between the CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, a municipal corporation existing under the laws of the State
of Florida (hereinafter referred to as City), having its principal offices at 1700 Convention Center Drive,
Miami Beach, Florida 33139, and GLATTING JACKSON KERCHER ANGLIN LOPEZ RINEHART,
INC., having its principal offices at 33 East Pine Street, Orlando, Florida 32801 (hereinafter referred to
as Consultant).
RECITALS
WHEREAS, pursuant to Request for Qualifications (RFQ) No. 7-00101, the Mayor and City
Commission adopted Resolution No. 2001-24388, on May 16, 2001, approving and authorizing the
Mayor and City Clerk to execute an Agreement with Glatting Jackson Kercher Anglin Lopez Rinehart,
Inc., for Professional Services for the West Avenue 1 Bay Road Neighborhood Streetscape and Utility
Improvement Project (the Agreement); and
WHEREAS, the Agreement provides for the detailed planning, design, permitting, bidding 1
award and construction administrative services for various streetscape 1 utility improvements within the
West Avenue neighborhood, and the Agreement was executed for a not-to-exceed amount of
$231 ,444; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 2002-24821, the City approved Amendment No. 1 to
the Agreement, in the amount of $86,959, for additional planning services associated with the 10th, 14th
and 16th Street ends, for a new stormwater design on Bay Road between 14th and 16th Streets in
compliance with City Stormwater Master Plan drainage criteria, to provide additional underground utility
field verification; and
WHEREAS, the Administration negotiated and approved Amendment No. 2 to the Agreement,
in the amount of $19,980, which was approved pursuant to Resolution No. 2002-24980, to address
additional services associated with the revision of the 90% design completion stage construction
drawings for Bay Road, based upon comments received by the City from residents; and
WHEREAS, the Administration negotiated and approved Amendment No. 3 to the Agreement,
in the amount of $64,480, approved pursuant to Resolution No. 2003-25206, to address additional
services associated with the construction management of the Bay Road stormwater component; and
WHEREAS, the Administration negotiated and approved Amendment No.4 to the Agreement in
the amount of $18,100, to address additional construction administration services for an extended
construction period associated with the Bid Package 11A: Bay Road 14th to 16th Street Improvements
Project; and
WHEREAS, the Administration negotiated and approved Amendment No 5 to the Agreement, in
the not-to-exceed amount of $134,009, pursuant to Resolution No. 2005-25917, to address additional
planning tasks that have resulted from the expansion of the original construction budget from
$2,700,000, to an estimated target construction budget of $10,800,000; and
WHEREAS, it was t._ .-.:;rmined that Lincoln Court should D,- .ncluded in the design of this
neighborhood; and
WHEREAS, the Administration, in conjunction with its Program Manager, Hazen & Sawyer,
concurs with the Consultant's request for an additional $11, 959, to include Lincoln Court; and
WHEREAS, the following Amendment No. 6 increases the total Agreement fee by a not-to-
exceed amount of $11,959, for a total fee of $566,931.
NOW. THEREFORE. the parties hereto, and in consideration of the mutual promises,
covenants, agreements, terms, and conditions herein contained, and other good and valuable
consideration, the respect and adequacy are hereby acknowledged, do agree as follows:
1. ABOVE RECITALS
The above recitals are true and correct and are incorporated as a part of this Amendment NO.6.
2. MODIFICATIONS
The Agreement is amended, as defined in Schedule A-6, attached herein.
3. OTHER PROVISIONS.
All other provisions of the Agreement, as amended, are unchanged.
4. RATIFICATION.
The City and Consultant ratify the terms of the Agreement, as amended by this Amendment No.
6.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have caused this Amendment No. 6 to be
executed in their names by their duly authorized officials as of the date first set forth above.

SCOPE OF SERVICES
Schedule "A" entitled, "Scope of Services", is amended as follows:
ADD the Following under Task 1 and Task 6 - ADDITIONAL SERVICES
Task 1.0 - Additional Planning Services:
The CONSULTANT shall furnish additional planning services associated with the Lincoln
Court improvements as noted below:
Task 1.3 entitled Site Reconnaissance Visit and Development of Alternative
Streetscape Treatments
The CONSULTANT shall attend one (1) additional site visit to Lincoln Court to observe the
existing site conditions. Based on the results of the site visits, the CONSULTANT shall
assemble two reference images to be utilized in the development of alternative streetscape
treatments. One of the reference images shall present proposed improvements possible
under current budget limitations. The other shall show an alternative concept that is
fundable under the current scope.
In addition, the CONSULTANT shall include in the preliminary "budget" level cost estimates
(+30%, -15% as defined by the American Association of Cost Engineers) each alternative
treatment of Lincoln Court indicating opinions of probable cost.

The CONSULTANT shall incorporate recommended planning concepts for Lincoln Court,

The CONSULTANT shall include the Lincoln Court area in the Final Basis of Design
Report, inclusive of comments and revisions gathered during
review meetings with the various CITY Departments and the CITY
Commission.

TIME OF COMPLETION
. The addition of Lincoln Court does not affect the time of completion.
PAYMENT AND COMPENSATION
The method for calculating the fees for the aforementioned proposed planning services
(Task 1.0) is established in Exhibit 'A-6' attached, based on estimated labor plus direct
costs. The total fee proposed for this Scope of Work shall be on a not-to-exceed basis in
the amount of $11,959. Invoicing will be monthly and based on hourly rates as defined
in the current Agreement between Glatting Jackson Kercher Anglin Lopez Rinehart, Inc.,
and the City of Miami Beach, dated May 16, 2001, as amended.
COMPENSATION
. Original Agreement amount $231,444.
. Amendment NO.1: Additional planning 10th, 14th and 16th Street ends, for a new
stormwater design on Bay Road between 14th and 16th Streets, $86,959.
. Amendment NO.2: Revision of the 90% design completion stage construction drawings
for Bay Road, $19,980.
. Amendment NO.3: Additional construction administration services for Bid Package 11 A:
Bay Road 14th to 16th Street Improvements Project, $64,480.
. Amendment NO.4: Additional construction administration services for an extended
construction period associated with the Bid Package 11A: Bay Road 14th to 16th Street
Improvements Project, $18,100.
· Amendment No.5: Additional planning tasks that have resulted from the increase of the
original construction budget from $2,700,000 to an estimated $10,800,000, $134,009.
· Amendment No.6: Additional planning services for the inclusion of Lincoln Court,
$11,959.
· Revised Agreement amount $566,203.
