A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA,
GRATEFULLY ACCEPTING A QUITCLAIM DEED FROM
37TH STREET REALTY CORPORATION, INC. FOR
PROPERTY LEGALLY DESCRIBED AS OUTLOTS 20, 21, 22
AND 23 OF BLOCK 28, OCEAN FRONT PROPERTY OF THE
MIAMI BEACH IMPROVEMENT SUBDIVISION, PLAT
BOOK 5, PAGES 7 AND 8 OF THE PUBLIC RECORDS OF
MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA; EXPRESSING
APPRECIATION TO 37TH STREET REALTY,
CORPORATION, INC., ISAAC MEISELS, ITS PRESIDENT,
AND TO ARCHITECT AND DEVELOPER ISAAC SKLAR
FOR THEIR GENEROSITY AND EFFORTS WHICH
RESULTED IN THE DEEDING OF SAID PROPERTY TO
THE CITY; AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH TO FILE SAID QUITCLAIM
DEED IN THE PUBLIC RECORDS OF MIAMI-DADE
COUNTY, FLORIDA.
WHEREAS, 37th Street Realty Corporation, Inc., a Florida corporation, was the owner of
certain outlots comprising approximately .086 acres of green space on the west side of 37th Street
and Indian Creek Drive (the "Property"), legally described as
OutIots 20, 21, 22 and 23, Block 28, the Ocean Front Property of the
Miami Beach Improvement Company Subdivision, according to the
Plat thereof, as recorded in Plat Book 5, Pages 7 and 8 of the Public
Records of Miami-Dade County, Florida, bounded as follows:
Bounded on the Northerly side of the Southerly line of above
referenced Lot 23 extended Westerly across Indian Creek Drive to the
Easterly shore of Indian Creek, as said Creek is shown on referenced
Plat; bounded on the South by the extension of Lot 20 across Indian
Creek Drive to the Easterly shore of Indian Creek, as said Creek is
shown on referenced Plat; bounded on the East by the Easterly line of
Indian Creek Drive, as said Drive is shown on referenced Plat;
bounded on the West by the Easterly shore ofIndian Creek referenced
above; and
WHEREAS, through the efforts of Isaac Sklar, noted architect and developer, and Isaac
Meisels, President of 37th Street Realty Corporation, Inc., the attached Quitclaim Deed was executed
by 37th Street Realty Corporation, Inc. on October 8, 1999 conveying the Property to the City of
Miami Beach; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Commission of the City of Miami Beach wish to accept
the attached Quitclaim Deed transferring title to the Property from 37th Street Realty Corporation,
Inc. to the City of Miami Beach, and to express their gratitude to 37th Street Realty Corporation, Inc.
and to Isaac Meisels, President of said Corporation for this generous conveyance of waterfront green
space to the City of Miami Beach; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Commission of the City of Miami Beach also wish to
extend their sincere appreciation to Isaac Sklar, noted architect and developer, for encouraging the
transfer of title to this unique waterfront parcel to the City of Miami Beach.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA that
1. The City of Miami Beach hereby gratefully accepts the Quitclaim Deed executed by 37th
Street Realty Corporation, Inc. on October 8, 1999 conveying title to the City of Miami
Beach to that certain real property legally described as: Outlots 20, 21, 22 and 23, Block 28,
the Ocean Front property of the Miami Beach Improvement Company Subdivision, according
to the Plat thereof, as recorded in Plat Book 5, Pages 7 and 8 of the Public Records of
Miami-Dade County, Florida, bounded as follows: Bounded on the Northerly side of the
Southerly line of above referenced Lot 23 extended Westerly across Indian Creek Drive to
the Easterly shore of Indian Creek, as said Creek is shown on referenced Plat; bounded on
the South by the extension of Lot 20 across Indian Creek Drive to the Easterly shore of
Indian Creek, as said Creek is shown on referenced Plat; bounded on the East by the Easterly
line of Indian Creek Drive, as said Drive is shown on referenced plat; bounded on the West
by the Easterly shore of Indian Creek referenced above,
2. The City of Miami Beach hereby extends its appreciation to 37th Street Realty Corporation,
Inc., a Florida corporation, Isaac Meisels, President of 37th Street Realty Corporation, Inc.,
and to noted architect and developer Isaac Sklar for their generosity and efforts in making
the transfer of the Property to the City of Miami Beach a reality, and
3. The City Manager of the City of Miami Beach is hereby directed to file said Quitclaim Deed
in the Public Records of Miami-Dade County, Florida.
