Please be as specific as possible; name of event, specific dates, venues, times, artists, etc. Use extra page if necessary. Proiect descriotion as aooroved bv Grants Panel: The project for which we respectfully requested funding is entitled 'Sobe Wonderland'. We will stage this production over three weekends in November on Miami Beach. November 10, 11, 17 and 18 the event takes place at the Community Church, Miami Beach. Thanksgiving weekend November 24 and 25 our performances move to the state ofthe art theatrical venue ofthe Byron Carlyle at 500 71st Miami Beach. Our production, already in rehearsal, is an extravaganza of feel good theater incorporating multi artistic disciplines. Located in the Kingdom of South Beach, 'Sobe Wonderland' is a celebration of the amazing cultural diversity that makes Miami Beach famous all over the world. This theatrical production is enthusiastically American, exotically South American. elegantly European and inspiringly universal. A cross-cultural experience is achieved in part by developing an original work from a universally known story. In this case, Cinderella, a story which is told in every known language and culture in the world. Our highly talented cast and creative team are drawn from Fourth Dimension of South Beach regulars and new local talent. The showcase Grand Disco Ball is a dynamic blend of great original music, fabulous costumes, outrageous choreography and inspirational set deigns. We were fortunate to secure the services of Kim St. Leon, one of South Florida's most respected directors and Doug Williford, a highly experienced theatrical producer/director and actor. Our international cast features a beautiful Latina film actress, Maria de Jesus Castellon, a singing star of Spanish television, Josephine Fadith Bauza and the British actress Ellen Jameson. We also have professional choreography from a new Miami Beach arrival Wisconsan Parker J. Cristan and original music composed by Cuban American, Hector Valdes and South American Lucas Bailach. Our top class creative team and cast, as well as the many volunteers who support our community theatre group, are determined to deliver an unforgettable and unique theatrical experience. Proiect descriotion as revised (if aoolicable) based uoon the City Commission aooroved award: Changes to projects awarded under the Artistic Disciplines program must sliD adhere to the requirement that the work is new or has never before been presented in Miami Beach. 'Sobe Wonderland' is a new and original work that will be premiered on Miami Beach in November. The project and the original dates will remain as described in the Artistic Disciplines Guidelines 2006n. However, due to scheduling conflicts at the original venues, we have chosen two other locations. Our major showcase on Thanksgiving weekend is now scheduled for the Byron Carlyle Theatre. Originally we had booked the Colony but a move to the Byron Carlyle has reduced outgoing expenses while enabling us to maintain high production values. Scheduling conflicts were also the reason for the move from the Botanical Gardens to the Community Church on Uncoln Road. Rather than change our original dates, we decided after consultation with the Program Manager, to perform at the Community Church. We have staged shows at the Church before and it is a high quality, well-equipped theatre setting which is easily accessible to our target audiences. The original creative vision for 'Sobe Wonderland', a new and original work which has never before seen on Miami Beach is adhered to and enhanced by our new locations. Our project and original dates remain as stated in the Grant Application. 60f9 Exhibit 2-A: Project Budget I Revised Total Project Budget Name of organization: Fourth Dimension of South Beach Date(s) of Project: Attach a copy of the total Project budget or list cash expenses and cash revenues specifically identified with your program, project or events.
