RESOLUTION NO. 2006-26410
A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH
FLORIDA, RATIFYING THE ACCEPTANCE OF
DONATIONS MADE TO THE CITY FOR THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH'S CUL TURAL AND BUSINESS
EXCHANGE PROGRAM WITH CHINA.
WHEREAS, in City of Miami Beach Resolution No. 2006-26371, the City of Miami
Beach's Cultural and Business Exchange Program with China was reaffirmed as serving a public
purpose, and the acceptance of donations made to the City for this Project was authorized, with
the proviso that future donations accepted for this public purpose be subject to ratification by the
Mayor and City Commission; and
WHEREAS, City of Miami Beach Resolution 2006-26371 further authorized the City
Manager or his designee to make such expenditures and/or reimbursements from donations
received, in furtherance of and consistent with this Cultural and Business Exchange Program;
and
WHEREAS, in furtherance of this Program, the following persons and/or entities have
since mid-October, 2006 made the following below-listed donations for use by the City toward
this Cultural and Business Exchange Program with China:

WHEREAS, it is hereby recommended that the Mayor and City Commission ratify
acceptance of the above-referenced donations in furtherance of this Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that acceptance of the
above-referenced donations for use by the City towards its Cultural and Business Exchange
Program with China is hereby ratified.

SUBJECT: A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH FLORIDA, RATIFYING THE ACCEPTANCE OF
DONATIONS MADE TO THE CITY FOR THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH'S
CULTURAL AND BUSINESS EXCHANGE PROGRAM WITH CHINA
On October 11, 2006 the Miami Beach City Commission passed its Resolution Number 2006-26371,
reaffirming the City of Miami Beach's Cultural and Business Exchange Program with China as serving
a public purpose, and authorizing the acceptance of donations made to the City for this City project
and further accepting future donations for this purpose, subject to ratification by the Mayor and City
Commission; the Resolution further authorized the City Manager or his designee to make such
expenditures and/or reimbursements from donations in furtherance of and consistent with this Cultural
and Business Exchange Program.
Accordingly, the attached Resolution ratifies the City's acceptance of donations received since mid-
October, 2006 for this Cultural and Business Exchange Program with China.
