A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA APPROPRIATING FUNDS, IN THE
AMOUNT OF $189,307, FROM THE $92 MILLION GENERAL OBLIGATION
BONDS-SERIES 2000 FUND No. 374 FOR THE PURCHASE AND
INSTALLATION OF AN EIGHTY-TWO (82) FIXTURE BASEBALL FIELD
SPORTS LIGHTING SYSTEM FOR THE FLAMINGO PARK BASEBALL
STADIUM, AS SPECIFIED IN THE 1999 GENERAL OBLIGATION BOND
PROGRAM AND AUTHORIZED BY THE AWARD OF A PURCHASE
ORDER BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION TO MUSCO
LIGHTING, INC., IN THIS AMOUNT, PURSUANT TO THE CITY OF
JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA BID NO. SC-00400-98, AT THE FEBRUARY 9,
2000 CITY COMMISSION MEETING.
WHEREAS, on November 2,1999, the voters of Miami Beach approved the issuance of
an approximate $92 Million General Obligation (GO) Bonds Issue; and
WHEREAS, included in this bond was $24.8 Million for Parks and Beaches; and
WHEREAS, these new improvements include sports lighting at the Flamingo Park Baseball
Stadium; and
WHEREAS, on February 9, 2000, the Mayor and City Commission authorized the award
of a contract, in the amount of $189,307.00, to Musco Lighting, Inc., for the purchase and
installation of an eighty-two (82) fixture baseball field sports lighting system for the Flamingo Park
Baseball Stadium; and
WHEREAS, the Administration is requesting that the Mayor and City Commission
appropriate $189,307 from the $92 Million GO Bond Series 2000 Fund No. 374 to the work order
for the Flamingo Park Baseball Stadium Lighting Project, as approved by Commission
Memorandum 132-00 on February 9, 2000, to ensure that the funding allocation is properly recorded.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and City
Commission authorize the appropriation of funds, in the amount of $189,307, from the $92 Million
General Obligation Bond-Series 2000 Fund 374 for the purchase and installation of an eighty-two
(82) fixture Baseball Field Sports Lighting System for the Flamingo Park Baseball Stadium, as
specified in the 1999 General Obligation Bond Program, and authorized by the award of a purchase
order by the Mayor and City Commission to Musco Lighting, Inc., in this amount, pursuant to the
City of Jacksonville, Florida Bid No. SC-00400-98, at the February 9, 2000, City Commission
Meeting.

ANALYSIS
On November 2, 1999 the voters of Miami Beach approved the issuance of an approximate $92
Million General Obligation (GO) Bonds Issue. Included in this bond was $24.8 Million for Parks
and Beaches. These new improvements include sports lighting at the Flamingo Baseball Stadium.

On February 9, 2000 the City Commission authorized the award of a contract in the amount of
$189,307.00 to Musco Lighting, Inc., for the purchase and installation of an eighty-two (82) fixture
baseball field sports lighting system for the Flamingo Park Baseball Stadium, pursuant to the City of
Jacksonville, Florida Bid No. SC-0400-98. Subsequent to this approval the contractor has completed
the work.
The Administration is requesting that the Commission appropriate $189,307 from the City's $92
Million GO Bond Series 2000 Fund 374 to the work order for the Flamingo Park Baseball Stadium
