during such periods, assigned certain powers to the City Manager subject to ratification by the RDA.
Additionally, administrative appeals to the City, as provided in Subpart B, Land Development
Regulations of the Code of the City of Miami Beach, would be unable to be held between the last
meeting in July 2000, and the first meeting in September 2000, Therefore, any required acts relative

It is therefore requested that the City Manager, or his Designee, be authorized to sign all contracts,
agreements, purchase orders, change orders, and grant applications that may affect the health, safety,
or welfare of the City; renew any existing contracts, for an appropriate period of time; terminate
existing contracts, as needed and toll all acts relative to administrative appeals provided for in

RDA meeting in July 2000, until the first RDA meeting in September 2000, subject to ratification by
the Redevelopment Agency at its first meeting in September 2000.
Since this authorization is necessary to ensure that essential services and projects continue during the

it is recommended that the Chainnan and Members of the Miami Beach Redevelopment Agency
