SUBJECT: UPDATE OF THE INDIAN CREEK GREENWAY - NATIONAL PARK
SERVICE GRANT
As part of the ongoing technical assistance grant from the National Parks Service Rivers, Trails and
Conservation Assistance (RTCA) Program, the community is being invited to attend the second
planning workshop to help design and develop a greenway linear park along the historic Indian
Creek waterway. The community forum will be held on Tuesday, June 20, 2000 from 6:00 ~ 9:00
p.m. at the Miami Beach Botanical Gardens, 2000 Convention Cemer Drive, Miami Beach, FL.
The evening will begin with an open house preview of exhibits and displays with information
available from the National Park Service RTCA Program, the Indian Creek Association, Friends of
the Indian Creek, and other City projects which will link to the Greenway linear park.
After the open house, brief presentations will be made about the Indian Creek Greeway plan and
needs addressed by citizens and the citizens advisory committee. Citizens will then be asked to
review data gathered as well as the overall concept plan and site analysis map in breakout groups.
