RESOLUTION FROM THE HISTORIC PRESERVATION BOARD
Attached, please find a copy of a resolution adopted by the Historic Preservation Board at their
August 8, 2000 meeting. This Resolution was passed by the Board because of their concern with
the preservation of Fire Station No.4.
The Historic Preservation Board would like to see Fire Station No.4 retained, preserved and restored
in conjunction with its proposed expansion.

HISTORIC PRESERVATION BOARD
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach Historic Preservation Board is charged by
Ordinance as serving in an advisory capacity to the City Commission on issues
affecting the City's architecture, design, historic districts and structures; and
WHEREAS, the Historic Preservation Board has determined that Fire Station No.
4 in the City of Miami Beach is a significant structure from an architectural and historic
standpoint; and
WHEREAS, the Historic Preservation Board strongly recommends that Fire
Station No.4 be substantially retained and preserved in conjunction with its proposed
expansion, in order to protect its unique architectural and historic character.
THEREFORE, it is hereby resolved that the Historic Preservation Board urges the
City Commission and the Fire Chief to retain, preserve and restore Fire Station No.4,
to the highest and most sensitive degree possible.
PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 8th DAY OF AUGUST, 2000.
