Gonzalez, City Manager~ r'-/ June 5, 2007 0 2007 ASSESSMENT ROLL EST I TE FROM: DATE: SUBJECT: As required by Florida Statue, the Miami-Dade County Property Appraiser advised us that the 2007 Assessment Roll Estimate for the City of Miami Beach is $26,150,000,000. The preliminary estimate is for budget planning purposes only. The official assessment will be released on June 29, 2007. This estimate represents an increase of 15% over the 2006 preliminary assessment of $22,739,947,828. At this time, the estimate does not provide a break-out of new construction or the Redevelopment District. This estimate is an indicator of our continued strong economic growth during 2006. However, the resulting impacts in available property tax revenues for FY 2007/08 remain unknown given the pending discussions on property tax reform on-going in Tallahassee. We will continue to keep you informed as these discussions progress over the next month.
