SUBJECT: 2000 SPECIAL OLYMPICS STATE INDOOR GAMES
It is with great pride and pleasure that the Parks and Recreation Department would like to inform you
of the recent success of our Special Olympics Athletes. Two of our athletes were chosen to compete in
Bowling at the Special Olympics Indoor Games in Daytona Beach, Florida on December 8 - 10, 2000.
These two athletes were among hundreds of athletes from around the county who participated in the
Special Olympics Local Games held October 21, 2000 at Cloverleaf Bowling Lanes. Their hard work
and determination enabled them to qualify for the State Games.
Our Special Olympics Athletes are proud of their success and look forward to the opportunity of
representing the City of Miami Beach in Daytona.
