Creepy Night of Tales and Fun -Children, families, and friends are invited t~enft~ a
spooky evening at the Scott Rakow Youth Center. Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy
carnival games, listen to scary stories, roast marshmallows and make their very own
delicious s'mores. This free event is geared for children in 4th-12th grade. Scary stories are
recommended for children 9 years or older. Don't miss out on the fun; the event will be held
on Friday, October 19th, 2007 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
Movie /n the Park -Normandy Isle Park & Pool will host its' first ever "Movie in the Park"
on Friday, October 26th, 2007 from 6:OOpm - 9:OOpm. The event will feature the
Columbia Pictures animated film "Monster House". The event will consist of a mini
Haunted House, arts and crafts, face painting, a bounce house, picture booth, and
concessions for all to enjoy.
"Boo"gie Down Dance -The North Shore Park and Youth Center will be hosting a
dance to celebrate Halloween on Friday, October 26th 2007 at 6:OOpm. The entrance fee
is $3, with food and beverages available for purchase as well. We are encouraging
everybody to wear orange and black to the dance to show Halloween spirit. Juniors and
Teens (4th grade and up) are welcome to put on their dancing shoes and "Boo"gie down.
The dance will begin at 6pm and music will be provided by the Hip Hop Workshop's own
Dj Kid Fresh and Bo Durty. The dance will be held inside the gymnasium. Come out and
have a "Spooktacular" time on the dance floor.
Safe Night of Fright -Children and adults of all ages are welcomed to join the fun as the
Parks and Recreation Department resents its annual HALLOWEEN -Safe Night of
Fright on Wednesday, October 31 s , 2007 from 6:OOpm - 9:OOpm at the North Shore Park
Bandshell. The free event will allow ghouls and goblins to enjoy a safe night of trick-or-
treating, entertainment, refreshments, photos and much more. Come join us for what's
sure to be a "Spooktacular" event!
