RESOLUTION NUMBER 96-21978
A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROPRIATING $38,168 FROM
REALLOCATED BOND FUND 351 INTO EXISTING WORK ORDER
NUMBER 2066 TO CORRECT THE EXISTING DEFICIT AND TO PROVIDE
FUNDING FOR BUDGETED ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES AT THE
POLICE STATION, BAYSHORE NURSERY AND VARIETY HOTEL RIGHT-
OF-WAY.
WHEREAS, Work Order Number 2066, which has been used to fund environmental
compliance restoration work at various City facilities has an existing deficit of $678.00; and
WHEREAS, the City must implement additional environmental restoration efforts at
the Police Station, Bayshore Nursery Facility and the Variety Hotel Right-Of-Way,
respectively, in order to bring the facilities back into compliance with State and County
environmental regulations; and
WHEREAS, the necessary funds were included in the 1995/96 budget; and
WHEREAS, funding in the amount of $38,168 is available in Reallocation Bond
Fund 351.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the appropriation of
$38,168 from Reallocated Bond Fund 351 into existing Work Order Number 2066 to correct
the existing deficit and to provide funding for the budgeted environmental services is
approved.

Approve the resolution.
BACKGROUND
Work Order Number 2066, which has been used to fund environmental compliance
restoration work at various City facilities has an existing deficit of $678. In addition, the City
must implement additional environmental restoration efforts at the Police Station, Bayshore
Nursery and the Variety Hotel Right-Of-Way, respectively, in order to bring the facilities back
into compliance with the regulations of the Florida Department of Environmental Protection
and the Dade County Department of Environmental Resources Management.
The necessary funds were included in the 1995/96 budget and the funds will be expended
through amendments to existing Professional Service Agreements.
CONCLUSION
The City Commission should authorize the appropriation of $38,168 from Reallocated Bond
Fund 351 into existing Work Order Number 2066 to correct the existing deficit and to provide
for the required environmental services.
