Gonzalez, City Manager DATE: February 19, 2008 SUBJECT: Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) award of Financial Reporting Achievement for the City's Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) for the Fiscal Year Ended September 30, 2006 The purpose of this LTC is to inform the Mayor and Commission that the City has received the award of Financial Reporting Achievement and presented a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for the preparation of the City's Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) for the Fiscal Year Ended September 30, 2006. This is the twentieth (20) consecutive year that the City has received this award from the GFOA of the United States and Canada. The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in governmental and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management. Please join me in recognizing the Finance Department Staff for all their work through out the year.
