The Committee would like to recognize four women working in or having impacted the education field. Deadline to submit a nomination is Friday, February 3, 2017. Nominees shall have worked and or lived in Miami Beach for a minimum of 5 consecutive years, and have made a significant contribution to the field of education. The nominee need not to have worked in the same capacity or venue for the 5 years, but must be in Miami Beach. The Miami Beach Commission for Women serves as an advisory capacity to the City of Miami Beach Commission. The purpose of the Commission is to support efforts for economic, political, and social equality and opportunity for all women, with special emphasis on the needs of women on Miami Beach. An awards ceremony will be held this March during Women’s History Month at the Miami Beach Women’s Conference.
