SUBJECT: SOUL VEGAN FESTIVAL
The Parks and Recreation Department invites you to bring your appetite to the City's first
plant-based African-American, Caribbean and Hispanic inspired Soul Vegan Festival on
Saturday, March 23, 2019, from noon to 5 p.m., at the Sand Bowl located behind the North
Beach Bandshell.
The festival, an inspired collaboration with Hungry Black Man food platform, will feature
plant-based entrees and baked goods from talented chefs, bakers, cooks and creators,
including soul food connoisseur Chef Todd Richards.
Admission is free, food and drinks will be for sale. Parking may be limited and use of ride-
share services is encouraged.
The event will also feature a sampling tent with goods made by youth in our culinary and
entrepreneurship programs, face painting, and other family-friendly activities.
