SUBJECT: Evaluation Committee Relative to Request for Proposals(RFP) No. 2019-132-ND,for Miami
Beach Convention Center Hall of Fame Display
The purpose of this LTC is to update the Mayor and City Commission on the status of Request for
Proposals(RFP)No.2019-132-ND,which seeks to establish an agreement with a qualified firm to design
and implement the Hall of Fame.
On March 27,2019, LTC#174-2019 notified the City Commission that the City Manager had appointed an
evaluation committee to review proposals received pursuant to the RFP. However, it is necessary to
make changes to the Evaluation Committee in order to include a member that is knowledgeable about
information technology.
I am now considering appointing the following individuals to serve on the Evaluation Committee:
• Roger Baumann, Resident, City of Miami Beach
• Laurence Herrup, Chair, Convention Center Advisory Board, City of Miami Beach
• Matt Kenny, Director, Tourism and Culture Department, City of Miami Beach
• Dawn McCall, Chair, Cultural Arts Council, City of Miami Beach
• James Murphy, Chief of Urban Planning, Planning and Zoning Department,City of Miami Beach
• Frederick Peterson, General Manager, Miami Beach Convention Center, Spectra Venue
Management
• Jennifer Seoanes, Marketing and Development Manager, Communications Department, City of
Miami Beach
I am also considering the following individuals as alternates:
• Ileana Bravo-Gordon, Chair, Hall of Fame Committee, City of Miami Beach
• Heather Shaw, Assistant Director, Tourism and Culture Department, City of Miami Beach
• Deborah Tackett, Chief of Historic Preservation, Planning Department, City of Miami Beach
• Thais Vieira, Senior Capital Project Coordinator, Office of City Manager, City of Miami Beach
