SUBJECT: UPDATE: LUMMUS PARK ARTISANAL MARKET
The purpose of this Letter to Commission (LTC) is to update the Mayor and City Commission
regarding the weekly Lummus Park Artisanal Market produced by Metro Flea Miami, LLC.
The administration has been working diligently with Metro Flea Miami, LLC to ensure that all
previous concerns in regards to vendor offerings and aesthetics of the market have been
achieved. As such, the Tourism and Culture department is pleased to announce that starting on
April 20th, the Lummus Park Artisanal Market will be produced on both Saturday's and Sunday's
every weekend (with the exception of large event, or high impact weekends), and will be adding
in a fitness component with a "HITT THE MARKET" bootcamp—a High Intensity Interval Training
(HITT) workout, led by Miami Beach's Roya Siroospour:
"Start your Saturday off right with a full body High Intensity Interval training workout with a
signature 60-minute RoyaFit bootcamp on Ocean Drive.
Sweat, pump and burn your body with dynamic bands, partnered with high intensity drills to kick
start your metabolism, and rock your core to a guilt free brunch.
Participants will receive a wristband that will give them 20% off at participating restaurants"
This initiative is intended to show tourists the best side of Ocean Drive, but to also bring
residents back to Lummus Park, with a healthy start to their Saturday morning, followed by a
stroll through the artisanal market, and then eat at one of our many amazing local restaurants - .
20% discount applies only to those who have the "#ExperienceMiamiBeach" wristband by
attending the workout.
Participating Restaurants include: Starbucks, News Café, Havana 1957, II Bolognese, Gaffe
Italia, ll Giardino, La Cerverceria, and Bice Cucina Cardozo.
