Attachment: Sustainability Committee Motions SMT/1E T/YP =, 'BEACH RISING ABOVE City of Miami Beach Sustainability Committee David Doebler, Chair TO: Mayor Dan Gelber and Members of the City Commission Members: FROM: David Doebler, Sustainability Committee Chair Jeremy Waks Mohammed Islam DATE: April 25, 2019 Luiz Rodrigues Max Litt SUBJECT: Sustainability Committee Motions Dear Mayor and Honorable City Commission: The Sustainability Committee met on March 26, 2019 and passed the motions below: • Motion appointing Max Litt as Vice Chair of the Sustainability Committee Meeting. • Motion to maintain Sustainability Committee meetings on a monthly schedule to allow for sufficient discussion of the action items voted on by the committee. • Motion to support Public Space Challenge grant recipient, John Lacko, on his project to create interactive signage promoting Bird Sanctuaries. This includes identifying native and migratory bird species habitats and working with the city's Urban Forestry Division to incorporate them in the city's tree options.
