SUBJECT: Status Update on Request fo Proposals (RFP) NO. 2019-132-ND for
Miami Beach Convention Center Hall of Fame Display
The purpose of this Letter to Commission ("LTC") is to update the Mayor and City Commission on
the status of Request For Proposals (RFP) NO. 2019-132-ND for the Miami Beach Convention
Center Hall of Fame Display.
On March 13, 2019,the City Commission approved the issuance of a Request for Proposals(RFP)
No. 2019-132-ND, Miami Beach Convention Center Hall of Fame Display. On March 15, 2019, the
RFP was issued. A pre-proposal conference to provide information to proposers potentially
submitting a response was held on March 26, 2019. On May 1,2019,the City received one proposal
from 7 Cinematics. However, the proposal submitted by 7 Cinematics failed to provide proof, as
required in the RFP, that it has completed at least one interactive (1) digital display project. As a
result, the proposal was deemed non-responsive and cannot be considered.
Currently,the Administration is considering all options to completing this project. Future updates will
be provided as information becomes available and any proposed agreement will be submitted to the
City Commission for its consideration.
