Dear Mayor and Honorable City Commission:
The Sustainability Committee met on June 25, 2019 and passed the motion below:
The Sustainability Committee fully supports the city-wide elimination on the sale
or use of single-use plastic beverage straws and single-use plastic stirrers. We
recognize this is our next step to eliminate one of the most common plastic marine
debris items.
As an Advisory Committee, we sincerely ask that consideration be given to the
above motion.
