The event will be held on July 13, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. -10:00 p.m. at UNIDAD (7251 Collins Avenue). The youth prom provides LGBTQ+ youth and young adults with a safe and affirming space to be themselves, express themselves and dance the night away. Miami Beach youth interested in attending will have priority RSVP to the event. One of Prideline's missions is to provide youth enrichment activities, and the organization has a long-standing history of working with Miami Beach Pride to produce their youth pride after-party, their safe zones, the youth district, and their tea tent for transgender people. The organization has been visiting several Parks and Recreation sites speaking with pre-teens and teens about the various programs, services, and initiatives the organization provides to raise awareness and offer support services to Miami Beach LGBTQ+ youth who may benefit. "Pridelines' annual Prom is a special event for our youth and young adults," said Victor Diaz Herman, CEO of Pridelines. "Since inception, this event has and continues to provide young LGBTQ people who often-times feel alone, different, unloved or unwanted with a space to experience true community -free from judgement, ridicule, and hate." As the June Pride celebrations across the U.S. come to and end, we are proud to foster a continued growing relationship with organizations that promote the spirit behind the celebration of diversity and inclusivity that is the City of Miami Beach.
