Event: Fall Danny Berry Baseball Evaluations
Date: August 29, 2019 (Rookies 7 — 8 years old)
September 3, 2019 (Minors 9 — 10 years old)
September 4, 2019 (Majors 11 — 12 years old)
Time: 6:00 p.m.
Location: North Shore Park (501 72"d Street, Field 1)
Let's get ready to play ball, Danny Berry Baseball evaluations are coming up! Registered
participants will be evaluated and separated into teams for the upcoming fall season.
Event: Free Infant & Toddler Water Safety Program
Date: Begins September 3, 2019 (Tuesdays & Thursdays)
Time: 10:00 a.m. — 10:45 a.m.
Location: Flaming Park Pool (11th Street & Jefferson Ave.), Scott Rakow Youth Center
Pool (2700 Sheridan Ave.), Normandy Isle Pool (7030 Trouville Esplanade)
Water Safety programs are available to Miami Beach residents ages 6 months to 5 years old.
Classes take place on Tuesday and Thursday and adults are required in the pool with their
child.
Event: Learn to Swim Fall Programming
Date: Begins September 3, 2019

Location: Scott Rakow Youth Center Pool (2700 Sheridan Ave.)
Programs offered for Infant/Toddler, Pre-School, Level 1-3 and Adult levels.
Event: Play Time Program
Date: Begins September 3, 2019

This yearly program offers dancing, singing, arts & crafts, and some academic instruction to
toddlers. Children must be 3 years old before September 1 and they must be potty-trained.
Space is limited. Birth certificate and immunization records must be presented at the time of
registration.

Event: Special Abilities Program Kickoff(Margaret M. Swett Social Club)

Our Social Club for adults with developmental disabilities will kick-off with a Luau where we'll
welcome new members, introduce new staff, and discuss new ideas —all while enjoying a
delicious lunch! The month will progress with some of our favorite activities, including bingo and
a "Movie in the Park". Our athletes will also have the first round of bowling competitions for
Special Olympics on September 14th at Bird Bowl, time TBD.
