SUBJECT: PROPOSED FISCAL YEAR 2020 B DGET DOCUMENTS
The purpose of this Letter to Commission is to distribute the Proposed FY 2020 Budget
documents in advance of the first public hearing at the City Commission meeting on September
11th. I am pleased to report that the Budget team has significantly improved user-friendliness of
the documents through the use of new publishing software.
These documents are consistent with the City Commission direction given at the Commission
Budget Workshop on May 21, 2019, as well as the Finance and Citywide Projects Committee
(FCWPC) budget briefings held on June 14, 2019, July 19, 2019, and July 26, 2019.
In addition, electronic versions of the Proposed FY 2020 Budget documents are available online
via the City's website at: https://vwwu.miamibeachfl.gov/city-hall/office-of-budget-
peformance/budget/.
The second public hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at 5:01 p.m. Both
hearings will be held in the City Commission Chambers at 1700 Convention Center Drive, 3rd
Floor, Miami Beach, Florida 33139.
