Providing the community with connectivity throughout South Beach, the completed project supports the use of alternative modes of transportation and encourages recreation by connecting to area business districts, residential neighborhoods, parks and the beach. The project also benefited the dune system by removing non-native plants and re-enforcing the urban island’s first line of defense along the coast with native vegetation.
