SUBJECT: Cultural Arts Council Motion
The purpose of this letter to the Mayor and Commission is to provide you with an update
regarding the motion made during the January 9, 2020 Cultural Arts Council meeting:
• Motion to identify funding sources to identify a consultant who can work with the
Tourism and Culture department and relevant stakeholders to develop a three to
five year comprehensive Cultural Strategy for Miami Beach, which would include
assessing internal and external partners and stakeholders, reviewing funding
amounts, drafting annual operating and fiscal tactical plans, and setting
measurable objectives to focus on ensuring the long term success of arts and
culture in the City of Miami Beach.
The above motion was passed unanimously.
