SUBJECT: Evaluation Committee Relative to Request for Proposals(RFP) No. 2020-109-WG, for
Food and Beverage Operator(Restaurant Venue) at Carl Fisher Clubhouse
The purpose of this LTC is to update the Mayor and City Commission on the status of Request for
Proposals (RFP) No. 2020-109-WG, which seeks to establish an agreement with a qualified
restauranteur to provide the food and beverage services, operation and management of a high
quality, yet casual, canal/park destination restaurant.
The City will receive proposals pursuant to this RFP on Tuesday, February 25, 2020. The
responsive proposals will be reviewed by the Evaluation Committee in accordance with the criteria
established in the RFP.
I am considering appointing the following individuals to serve on the Evaluation Committee:
• Grace Duncan, Director of Sales and Marketing, Gates Hotel
• Sonia Fong, Greater Miami Convention and Visitor Bureau
• Laurence Herrup, Chair of the Convention Center Advisory Board
• Jonathan Plutzik, Owner, Betsy Hotel
• Heather Shaw, Assistant Director, Tourism and Cultural Development Department
I am also considering the following individuals as alternates:
• Matt Kenny, Director, Tourism and Cultural Development Department
• Luis Wong, Administrative Services Manager, Tourism and Cultural Development
Department
