SUBJECT: Public Meeting- Palm View Master Plan
A public meeting has been scheduled for Tuesday, February 18th, 2020, from 5:30 PM to 7:00
PM, to present a project update of the Palm View 20-Year Master Plan. The meeting will be held
at City Hall in the Commission Chambers.
On July 25, 2018 the City Commission discussed concerns raised by area residents regarding
the Palm View District and Historic Designation Status. The administration recommended funds
be allocated to develop a comprehensive 20-year plan for the Palm View neighborhood.
The firm of KCI (formerly Keith & Schnars)was retained to conduct the study. On April 9th, 2019,
the first public meeting was held to receive input from stakeholders and interested parties.
Additionally, the consultant has met individually with key stakeholders and representatives from
the Miami Dade County Property Appraiser's office, as well as City staff from Planning, Public
Works, Environmental and Sustainability and the Office of Resiliency.
The presentation scheduled for February 18th, 2020 will be followed by a presentation to the City
Commission either in March or April.
