Morales, City Manager ~ ~ -f<>t' DATE: February 14, 2020 SUBJECT : SENIORS GOT TALENT EVENT The City of Miami Beach Parks and Recreation Department is on a mission to prove that it's never too late to shine with its first ever citywide Seniors Got Talent event- a talent competition for residents that are 55 years old and over. After reviewing applications, 17 individuals were selected to audition for the various categories including musical performance, dance performance as a group or solo, comedy, and singing. Auditions for Seniors Got Talent will be held on February 20, 2020 at the North Shore Park Youth Center, where contestants will perform before a panel of judges. Judges will evaluate each contestant and announce five finalists at the end of the auditions. The Seniors Got Talent finals will take place on March 5, 2020 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Miami Beach Convention Center, where the finalists will perform before a panel of judges including Miami's own Jon Secada. The winner will receive a prize and be featured in an upcoming issue of MB magazine. Guests attending the event will also partake in a sit-down dinner.
