Subject: Miami Beach Night Sky Stargazing Community Event
The purpose of this Letter to Commission is to invite you to the Night Sky Stargazing community
event sponsored by the City of Miami Beach in partnership with the Frost Museum of Science on
Friday, March 13, 2020, at 7:30 p.m. at the Miami Beach Golf Club (2301 Alton Road).
Night Sky Stargazing is part of a series reflective of the City's commitment to provide Science,
Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) focused outreach programs that
provide hands-on learning to the community.
The session includes a special evening under the stars with a telescope viewing as astronomy
educators highlight the far away beauty of celestial objects up close and experience the night sky
as never before. Participants will also have the opportunity to learn about telescopes and
astronomy.
