The purpose of this Letter to Commission is to update the Mayor and City Commission on the
status of the city's partnership that provides an SAT/PSAT/ACT preparation program currently
utilized by over 500 students at Miami Beach Senior High School throughout the 2019/20 school
year. Data indicates that the average improvement for high school youth using the program is
as follows:
• ACT English/Reading + 79%
• ACT Math/Science +55%
• SAT Reading/Writing +34%
Below is the program usage for Miami Beach high school youth from June 2019 to April 2020:
