SUBJECT: Budget Advisory Committee Motion
The purpose of this Letter to Commission (LTC) is to inform the Mayor and City Commission
of a motion passed by the Budget Advisory Committee at its meeting on July 14, 2020.
The Budget Advisory Committee has reviewed the proposed Operating and Capital
Budgets and we consider the approaches taken to balance the budget to be well thought
out. We are pleased that the use of Reserves will be kept to a minimum to ensure that the
City is in a strong financial position for hurricane season, the uncertainty from COVID-19,
and other unforeseen events that can impact the budget.
