SUBJECT: 9/11 Remembrance at Fire Station 2 on Friday, September 11, 2020
The purpose of this Letter to Commission is to inform the Mayor and City Commission that the
Miami Beach Fire Department (MBFD), will hold a five-minute remembrance of the 9/11 tragedy
on September 11, 2020, at Fire Station 2.
The staff at Fire Station 2 will hold a moment of silence at 8:43 A.M., while lowering our country's
flag.
In light of COVID-19 concerns and helping to stop the spread of the virus, we encourage
residents and visitors to watch the live stream of the ceremony from home or office. The five-
minute ceremony will be streamed via Facebook Live on the MBFD page:
www.facebook.com/M iamiBeach Fi re Department.
