Prekindergarten Pilot Program Provider Information Sessions
The purpose of this Letter to Commission is to update you on the status of the City of Miami
Beach's Prekindergarten (PreK) Pilot Program for Miami Beach residents for the 2021-2022
school year, approved at the July 29, 2020 Commission meeting. The Prekindergarten Pilot
Program will expand hourly access to PreK by increasing options to high quality providers by
providing up to $2,700 to eligible Miami Beach families.
The administration has scheduled a series of informational sessions for interested PreK
providers via Zoom on the following dates and times:
Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at 11am
Friday, October 30, 2020 at 11 am
Thursday, November 5, 2020 at 11 am

Providers may submit an application at www.miamibeachfl.gov/prekprovider. Information
about these sessions has been posted to the city's website and shared with the Early
Learning Coalition of Miami-Dade, the Office of Early Learning/ Florida Department of
Education, and Florida Department of Children and Families.
Following administration's screening of Prekindergarten provider applicants, application
information for eligible Miami Beach families will be shared throughout our community
beginning in mid-November.

for the 2021.22 school year that will provide eligible Miami Beach families
with o Pre-K stipend of $2,700.
Eligible Pre-K providers are invited to partake in one of the information
sessions being ottered on how your organization can register to participate in
this program.
