The following officials are scheduled to take part in the news conference: - Florida Governor Ron DeSantis - Chief of Engineers and Commanding General of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Lt. Gen. Todd T. Semonite - Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos Gimenez - Miami Beach Mayor Dan Gelber The media opportunity schedule is as follows: 1:15 p.m. – 1:45 p.m. – Media Briefing 1:45 p.m. – 2 p.m.: B-roll opportunity to follow state and local officials as they walk through the construction site with commander of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
