SUBJECT: Out of Office Notification
I am currently scheduled to have a minor surgical procedure on Wednesday, April 14,
2021, at Baptist Hospital in Kendall. It will require at least an overnight in hospital,
followed by a brief recovery period at home. Since the Agenda for the April 21, City
Commission Meeting goes to print, I am appointing ASSISTANT CITY MANAGER MARK
TAXIS to serve as Interim City Manager in my absence. He will be supported by
Assistant City Managers Eric Carpenter and Alina Hudak, and Chief of Staff Marcia
Monserrat.
Depending on my recovery time and ability to do so, I will be reviewing the 4/21/21 City
Commission agenda at home, and hope to be able to attend agenda reviews, as well as
the April 21s meeting if l am able to.
Nevertheless, it's always good to have a contingency plan.
Should you have any questions or comments, please do not hesitate to contact me or my
assistant, Miriam Merino. I am confident things will go smoothly with little or no
disruption; quite simply, because I have the BEST team any Manager could hope for.
