Pride Park - My Equilibria Fitness Equipment Installation
The purpose of this Letter to Commission is to provide an update to the Mayor and City
Commission regarding the upcoming installation of a new fitness area in the City's Pride Park,
across from the Convention Center. The fitness center will be installed in the northwest
quadrant of the park, near the intersection of 19th Street and Meridian Avenue.
The fitness area will consist of three pieces of outdoor fitness equipment by "My Equilibria,"
providing a variety of exercise opportunities for park visitors. The area will include a special
rubberized safety flooring surface, and new concrete walkways surrounding the fitness area.
Installation will commence on April 13, 2021 and is estimated to be completed by mid-June
of 2021.

Project Overview and Benefits
The City of Miami Beach will begin work this
week on a new outdoor fitness area at Pride
Park. The facility will promote a healthy
lifestyle among residents and visitors for
years to come.
What's Happening
The city is installing a ne w fitness area in
the northwest quadrant of Pride Park behind
the Miami Beach Convention Center. The
fitness area will consist of three pieces of
fitness equipment designed by outdoor
fitness company My Equilibria along with a
special rubber flooring surface and new
concrete walkways surrounding the fitness
area.
The equipment design is inspired by nature
and features the same attention to detail as
a contemporary work of art. The equipment
includes a series of pull-up bars, parallel
bars and a workout bench.
Please note, the project team is closely
monitoring the situation surrounding COVID-
19. The contractor is enforcing strict social
distancing measures and employees
are using face coverings while on-site, including during breaks.
Timeline
Starting Tuesday, April 13, 2021 crews will be on-site Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.
to 5 p.m. Work will last approximately two months with anticipated completion in
June 2021.
Extended time is subject to city approval and community notification. Please note, this
schedule could change due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.
What to Expect
• A construction fence with a wind screen will be set up. For safety purposes, all
construction act iv ities will take place within the fence.
• Road closures are not anticipated for this project.
Moderate levels of construction noise.
Construction vehicles and personnel will be present in the area.

covers while on-site, including during break times.
