Collins Park Garage Park Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
— Friday, Dec. 11 at 3 p.m. —
WHO/WHAT: The City of Miami Beach will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony this Friday,
Dec. 11 to celebrate the completion of the Collins Park Garage located
at 303 23 Street.
The seven-story structure includes more than 500 parking spaces, car
charging stations, 14,560 square feet of retail space on the ground level
and bicycle parking. The garage’s façade is made up of metal perforated
cladding featuring words arranged in the form of a crossword puzzle.
The words in the puzzle were carefully chosen to reflect the history of
Miami Beach and the Collins Park neighborhood.
In addition, the city is closing a portion of Liberty Avenue from 22 to 23
Street in order to create a pedestrian plaza that will provide a strong
connection from the parking structure to Collins Park, the Miami City
Ballet and the Public Library.
